This project was started in November of 2003 and concluded... well, i don't know yet. These are lists of 25 to 65 of the best studio albums from each of the past 60 years (with the exception of the 40's & 50's, which are clumped together). When i finish with each decade, i'll then make a best of list for the entire decade. This will eventually culminate in a Greatest Albums Of All-Time list, of course.
These lists will only include regular studio albums, so no live albums, compilations, reissues or rarity collections. These lists are also limited to albums i've heard or am intimately familiar with. And how many albums is that? A lot. However, i will readily admit a somewhat limited knowledge of R&B, rap, jazz, blues and other genres outside of the "rock" label, therefore, per usual, these lists will probably be heavy on the rock & roll. These list will be best of lists, though - not my favorite albums, but what i believe to be the best albums of the year.
