Foreign Language Edition
Hey, you no speak-a any English? No! Well, maybe some. Anyway, here are some of the best uses of the non-English. Whatever that means.

It's only a Northern Song
Michelle {excerpt}
Words by: Paul McCartney
Performed by: The Beatles on the album Rubber Soul (1965)
Michelle, ma belle Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble Tres bien ensemble
Roughly meaning, "These are words that go together well." Paul basically wrote this as a send-up of cheesy love songs, so of course it then became a famous cheesy love song - it is one of The Beatles most recognized songs.

Gitchy wha?
Lady Marmalade {excerpt}
Words by: Bob Crewe
Performed by: Labelle on the album Nightbirds (1974)
Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Da Da Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Here Mocca chocalata Ya Ya Creole Lady Marmalade Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir? Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?
This is a song about a New Orleans hooker. From what i hear, it was pretty "risqu" for the time. Don't you hate when people use quotations? Go screw yourself.
Anyway, i think these words are correct, but if they're not & you know what the real lyrics are, feel free to e-mail me here so that i can totally ignore you.

mmmm... hungry

Hungry For You (J'Aurais Toujours Faim De Toi)

Rien de dormier cette nuit Je veux de toi Jusque'a` ce que je sois sec Mais nos corps sont tout mouille's Comple'tement couvert de sueur Nous nous noyons dans la mare'e Je n'ai aucun de'sir Tu as ravage' mon coeur Et mois j'ai bu ton sang Mais non pouvons faire ce que nous voulons J'aurais toujours faim de toi Mais non pouvons faire ce que nous voulons J'aurais toujours faim de toi Tout le monde est a` moi Je l'ai gagne' dans un jeu de cartes Et maintenant je m'en fous C'e'tait gagne' trop facilement Ca y est alors ma belle trai^tresse Il faut que je bru^le de jalousie Tu as ravage' mon coeur Et moi j'ai bu ton sang Mais non pouvons faire ce que nous voulons J'aurais toujours faim de toi Mais non pouvons faire ce que nous voulons J'aurais toujours faim de toi Mais non pouvons faire ce que nous voulons J'aurais toujours faim de toi Mais non pouvons faire ce que nous voulons J'aurais toujours faim de toi No matter what I do I'm still hungry for you No matter what I do I'm still hungry for you Rien de dormir cette nuit Je veux de toi jusque'a` ce que je sois sec Mais nos corps sont tout mouille's Comple'tement couvert de sueur
This is French (i think). And no, i don't know what the whole thing means. I think it's a song about cannibalism. Or possibly cunnilingus. Send complaints here.

What time is it again?
Saturday In The Park {excerpt}
Words by: Robert Lamm
Performed by: Chicago on the album Chicago V (1972)
Saturday in the park, I think it was the Fourth of July Saturday in the park, I think it was the Fourth of July People dancing, people laughing, A man selling ice cream... Singing Italian songs (ad-lib Italian words) Can you dig it, yes, I can And I've been waiting such a long time For Saturday
For the life of me, i cannot find, anywhere, what the hell the Italian phrase used in this song is, but it is Italian.
