Inventions, Trademarks and Copyrights

A number of inventions owned by Innovative Technologies Incorporated (ITI) are placed for "seed" to encourage others. The objective being to entice investors to part with their money.

First a word about the philosophy of inventing and patents in general. If experience is any guide, the majority of contacts regarding technology are from individuals who want to help you --- at a cost to you. One should show a little leg but not give away the store. In particular, beware of Invention Marketing Companies. For more on this see: Cons

The vast majority of patents granted by the United States Patent Office are absolutely useless. Either the invention has no value, the patent can't be defended because the inventor lacks the financial clout, the patent is proven to be invalid because of prior art or the claims are so badly written that an expert in the field can find a means of avoiding the patent. However the most damning flaw in our invention process is that without a marketing structure it is near impossible for an inventor to profit from his/her invention. So unless your interest lie simply in the Wow! I've got a patent, forget it. Not so easily discouraged? Well there is hope, read on.

Brouse the word "invent" through one of the search engines. This will convince you that there are an abundance of opportunities for liasons - both good and bad. A word of advise, the word "we" usually means "you pay". A good place to start in looking for information is Mark Mander's old home page. Fortunately, it was picked up by others at Berkeley and remains on the web. In addition visit Information about patents and patent searching made easy.

If one wants to do a search for relevant United States patents, you can do no better than to enter IBM's extensive data base which encodes US patents issued since about 1970. Access is free and the search engine is easy to use. Try: Patents.

And, if you want to see how others view the world of business from the eyes of an advertising genius, consider the life of P. T. Barnum. He records in his book, Struggles and Triumphs - The Life of P. T. Barnum, his Ten Rules for business success. They are as applicable today as they were in the 1860s.

As always, one needs to be aware of conditions underwhich we operate. Accordingly, one may want to visit Copyright, Patents and Trademarks, and Disclaimer.
