Rulesof P.T. Barnum, Directory
Aart Van Wingerden came to the U.S. with $6 in his pocket, a devoted wife and three children. He died, an industry leader, who pursued three freedoms.
ECONOMIC FREEDOM- He loved his work and it rewarded him by making him a
wealthy man,
ETHNIC FREEDOM - loved his fellow man, and
ETERNAL FREEDOM - infused his life and work with dignity and meaning that
lives on.
Van Wingerden's cornerstones for business were simple:
1) HAVE FAITH - makes a simpler, less stressful and happier life
2) BELIEVE IN YOUR FAMILY - a strength that helps in good and bad times
3) HELP PEOPLE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN - kindness cost little and returns much
4) WORK HARD - make your hobby your work and your work your hobby
5) BELIEVE IN YOUR SELF - You can do anything you want
Not bad advice from Aart Van Wingerden who left us with more than a thriving business in horticulture.
You may want to take a look at P. T. Barnum's Rules, they had a lot in common.
