| Sonny and I have competed in Dressage Team deVille at Lake Erie college several times. In 2000 we came out with the over all high score for division B (1st-4th level). With scores of 7's and 8's in our First level tests. We are now competing at Second level with scores in the 60's . He has had such a wonderful attitude and works very hard for me. He also has ton of talent he passes on to his babies. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Sonny has competed in jumper Team DeVille over 3'6"- 3'9" fences for the past 2 years. In the year 2002 our team placed 4th out of 15 teams He has also competed at the Spring Bay Horse Trials 2-day event in KY It was our first event so there were a few glitches (Rider caused time faults iin CC) He was 3rd after dressage, no refusals in CC, and a clear round in stadium. Here is a pic of him going over one of the novice cross country fences |

| On a more somber note, November of 2002 we recieved the news that Sonny has contracted Equine Recurrent Uveitis. He has lost about 80% of his vison in both eyes. After reciving years of misdiagnosis (from allergies to glaucoma) It is nice to know the true problem, but discouraging to find that he is past the stage of being able to be treated. He will retire on my parents farm in Conneaut Ohio to a life of breeding and flatwork as long as he is able and comfortable. We have researched ERU and is is not hereditary so we do not have to be worried that his offspring are more at risk than the general horse population. |
