| I'd like to thank Ekrem (left) and Ali (right) Misimi, as well as Bahrije and Ajet, for inviting me to stay with them for three days and nights, allowing me a glimpse into their lives and the lives of the people of Stankovac I. Through their help as translators, and through their friendship, I was able to gain a deep insight into the life of a Macedonian refugee. I hope Norway treats you well, guys. "You will sleep here because I invited you here and for you it will be like home. Not home, because it's not a home, it's a tent, but..." --Ali, trying to get me to sleep on the side of the tent with more padding, on the first night of my stay. |
