In 1976, Jonathan had a VERY small role in Alan Parker's wonderful comedy/musical Bugsy Malone. Jonathan has a very short screen time as one of the international reporters covering the gang fights of splurge guns between the rivals (only appearing for a few seconds at a time on 3 occasions). His role was that of a "British Reporter" amongst the international reporters following the gang fights, so cranks up his role to include a queens english accent with stiff upper lip facial characteristics. The movie is one that presented several child actors who would become very famous later on (among them a young Jodie Foster). Jonathan is only a mere extra in this movie. But he seems to enjoy his short role anyway. To many he wont be instantly recognizable if you're only used to seeing him playing Damien. He would of been 13 years old when Bugsy Malone was made, hence he looks smaller and less chubby in the face than as Damien.Here are a few pics of him and from the movie. I'll add more later.
