Ghostly Ecto

Hooded Monk

This ghost photo was submitted by Fernando Martinez.

Fernando said, "Hello there, I was visiting your website to learn more about ghost and paranormal related topics, because in my last vacation my cousin took a picture of me and something strange appeared in the background. It looks like a shadow, but I don't think it is a shadow or a silhouette, this picture was taken in Edinburgh Scotland in the Protestant Cathedral located on the Royal Mile, I wanted this picture taken because of the organ in the background, but if you can see in the center-right side of the picture there's something (or someone) that wasn't there when my cousin took the picture. I'll let you judge for yourself, and if you want I can send you the negative of the picture so you can see it's not a Hoax."

Dr.'s Notes:
This could be an excellent example of shadow people.

Can you see the ghost in the picture below? Keep looking!
It is a little difficult to find - study the picture hard!
Try looking at it closely - everyone sees it eventually!

Concentration Camp Ecto

These ghost photos were submitted by Pam and Jason.

Pam and Jason said, "I took these pictures with a disposable camera while on a trip to Germany in Nov. 2000 with my husband Jason. They were taken at the Dachau concentration camp in the crematorium building. We were the only people in the room at the time. I looked at these pictures many times without ever thinking that they could be supernatural. I just blamed it on the quality of my camera, even though none of the other pictures I took with this camera came out smokey like that. It wasn't until we showed these pictures to my parents months later that we started to speculate it might be something supernatural. Even stranger, my dad noticed that if you connect the pictures together, with picture #2 on top of picture #1, the smokey stuff looks like a man lying on the floor in a fetal position.

Incidentally, these are not the original ovens the Nazis used to dispose of bodies; they were rebuilt by the German govt. after the camp was turned into a museum. But still, considering all the people who died tragically in this area, I would think that it's just as haunted as Gettysburg!"

Dr.'s Notes:
People who die a violent death at the hands of murderers often remain in this earth plane to demand justice for their untimely death. This ectoplasm suggests souls are still searching for resolution and justice.

Supercharged Spirits

This photo was submitted by Dana.

Dr.'s Notes:
These orbs in motions are emitting light energy as they are what we call supercharged. Many consider that orbs that emit energy as the ultimate proof that ghosts exist.

Faces in the window

This picture was taken by the husband of the woman in the picture on a sunny afternoon with ordinary print film.

They had just moved into their new home in Chicago, Illinois.

In the window to the left of them appears an older woman and a bulldog next to her.

There was no one in the house at the time of the picture taking.

Figure in the background

Not too much is known about the specifics of this photograph except the couple are now both deceased.

To the right of the tree in the upper right-hand corner is a definite misty shape in the form of a human being.

Red Spectre in the forest

This photograph was taken near a river in a forest preserve by a Ms. Mock.

There is no direct sunlight that would cause this type of lens flare effect and it surely isn't the first or last picture on a roll of film because the reddish blur is close to the center of the photograph.

It actually takes on the shape of a human being.

Confederate Ghost

This photograph was taken by a tourist visiting the Confederate cemetery near Carnton Mansion in Franklin, Tennessee. Nothing out of the ordinary was seen when the picture was taken. However, if you look to the upper right of the photograph, hovering in the trees appears to be the figure of a man in uniform. Closer examination suggests him to be a Confederate soldier. (An enlargement of this section of the picture is shown at the right.)
