Abby Road Comparison
Let's compare The Parent Trap's Abbey Road scene to the original Beatles' album cover.
The production crew went to a lot of detail to make The Parent Trap's scene like the Beatles. Here, for you dedicated Parent Trap fans, are both pictures to see side by side, (or as they say in the movie "face to face").
The Comparison
First of all, many years have passed since the Beatles were on Abby Road, so naturally the street has changed a little. There are new lines on the street. The significance of the wavy lines mean "No parking, no overtaking". Also there is no parking on the side walk or pavement area, so Disney got away with it for the photo.
Heres what I see that they have in common:

1. Volkswagon on the left.
2. Similar car past the VW on left.
3. Black car on right.
4. Person standing near black car on right.
5. Paul and Liz holding cigarettes.
6. Paul and Liz not wearing shoes (Alright Liz is wearing almost see-thru shoes).
Ok, maybe this didn't reveal a lot of similarities, but it gave us all a chance to see for ourselves, and compare. It is amazing in movie making how much time and effort can go into just a few frames in a film. It is obvious that the producers, and others involved, went to alot of effort for one laugh in the film. It worked, and to me it is just another precious moment that I enjoy in the Parent Trap.
