| Junior Solar Sprint (JSS) is a model solar car building competition for students in 6-8th grade. Parts for the model car can be made from any material with unlimited creativity, except for restrictions on the motor and solar cell, and all rules posted on the web page below. For example, the car must be less than 60 cm (24 inches) long and no higher or wider than 30 cm (12 inches) |

| The 2010 Buffalo Area Junior Solar Sprint will be held May 2010 at the Jamison Rd. Volunteer Fire Hall in Elma. To see information regarding the 2010 Junior Solar Sprint please click on the Registration & Rules button above. The rule have not changed from 2008. There is a $5 registration fee per car. |

| Teachers and Mentors are invited to a FREE worshop on preparing for the Buffalo Area Junior Solar Sprint. The workshop will be held February or March 2010. A representative of the North East Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) will lead discussions on how to guide your students in building model solar cars and ideas on how to integrate the Junior Solar Sprint into your technology or science curriculum. Don't miss a great opportunity that can help you lead your students to a new awareness of green technology and provide you the medium to network with other educators. |
