Orienteering Basics
After you learn how to do orienteering, it becomes quite simple.  I first learned the basics of orienteering at Camp Nebagamon in 1999.  I learned more advanced orienteering the subsequent year.  This year, I hope to receive the rank of Instructor in Orienteering.
There are many ways to take a bearing with a regular compass.  The swiftest yet least accurate technique is to put the compass on North, put the side of the needle pointing north in its triangle, and look out straight in the direction in which the your degrees are pointing.  A less speedy, but much more precise method is to put the compass on the number of degrees you desire, put the side of the needle pointing north in its triangle (known as putting red in the shed,) and look straight through the sight. Pick a distant object in that exact direction.  Travel through the necessary distance, steps, or paces to reach your destination.  Math, especially proportions come in extremely handy in orienteering.

Knuxle CEO Runs For President

Jan. 2032 World famous Knuxle president wants to be a different kind of President.  Now that jquantumr has been so successful with his Knuxle company he has decided to try a new career.  Knuxle started out selling the historic Supermags, InfiniLites, Bi-Tissues, and Light Lucks, later renting Jreemhouses all over the world.  All this led to modern day Knuxle.  Rosenblatt now wants to bring American back together after Bill Clinton IIs destructive reign.

In 2001, the Vice President yearned for a life with Knuxle and politics.  His wish looks as if it came true.  jquantumr still remembers founding Knuxle back in 2001, when he was in the 6th grade.  Back then he hungered for knowledge of space travel, the industry Knuxle created.  The 12 year old jquantumr wanted to learn Latin and more advanced Math both of which he was interested in.  In Knuxle CEOs 6th grade class was his current opponent, liberal-minded Aaron Liskov.  Misguided Liskov played a large role in Knuxles construction, but later left to become Arkansas senator.

With Knuxles new anti-aging medication, Young Again! , Mr. jquantumr now looks as he did in 2001.  The Vice President is now staying at a Knuxle Jreemhouse in Iowa whiling campaigning for the upcoming election.  For those of you unaware of this great improvement to life, a Jreemhouse is a Knuxle product which has every trick and secret passageways you could think of.  Please do not hesitate to rent one.  Call 1-800-The Jreem (1-800-8435-7336).

Since 2023, when he came into power with President Lex Ullman, the two have been changing our country for the better.  Our current leaders have been good friends every since they met in the North Woods of Wisconsin at Camp Nebagamon back in 2000.  Lex, known worldwide as Goku, helped to give Knuxle publicity in Kansas City as well as constructing many new products including the world famous glass cutter, Instant Slicer.

jquantumr is currently very interested in his successful company, KNUXLE, as well as politics.  Every summer he can, Mr. Rosenblatt snatches the opportunity to work at Camp Nebagamon.  Preferably and most frequently, he takes campers on wilderness trips.  Both the White House and the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) are his favorite places to be.  jquantumr hopes to retire as a pioneer on the moon when his career is over by using Knuxles Ol Western Pioneer Program.
Present-Day(June,2000)
Ive had a very happy life. This paper contains several facts that are currently true.

Unlike a few people, sports have never been the main thing in my life. However, I do enjoy them.  Soccer was the first sport I ever played on a team.  I played soccer from third grade through 4th grade. In fifth grade, I dropped soccer and began to play football. Football is my current favorite sport because of the strategy and effort involved.  I have played basketball since third grade.  In fifth grade, I had an exceptionally good coach, Ben Borenstein.  I have played baseball since third grade.  This year, I missed the placements and was unable to play.  Sports have always been a fun part of my life.

I have taken many vacations each of which had many highlights. I took many vacations in Europe as a baby as I lived in the Nederlands.  Because of my age at the time, I remember only the taste of licorice out of my early European experiences.  My most recent vacation was to Williamsburg.  Living in a colonial house and observing the aspects of living in a colonial town was very interesting.  I enjoy seeing relatives in Tennessee, California, and Washington.  In third grade, I had an interesting learning experience with my dad at Space Camp in Florida.  Ireland offered horse caravanning trips.  The horse caravanning trip was demanding and unique.  Our horse was as stubborn and bossy as they come.  I had heaps of challenging fun horseback riding and white water rafting in Wyoming and Montana.  The beach is the most entertaining in Turks & Caicos and Marthas Vineyard of all of vacations that I have been on.  Turks & Caicos culture was very different than ours.  In Mexico, I saw what poverty was like.    My vacations have always been fun whether pleasure, relative visiting, or sight seeing.

I have a list of allergies that I discover more of frequently.  I have been sneezing, coughing, and itching all my life due to allergies to dust, pollen, trees, and grass, but not until 5th grade did I visit the allergist.  I am very allergic to poison ivy.  In 4th grade I became aware of its terribleness.  But not until the end of camp last summer did I know how bad it was.  It started with an itchy mosquito bite on my back that grew and spread all over my body.  Soon my back had grown an extremely hard, rough and humongous poison ivy reaction.  Because it was so bad, no one at camp could figure out what was wrong including the doctor who guessed and incorrectly diagnosed it.  When I came home, the skin doctor informed me that it was poison ivy.  My regular doctor gave me pills for my limp nodes that had swollen in reaction to the poison ivy.  I had an enormous allergic reaction to these pills in Ireland.  There I spent a great deal of time scratching.  We had trouble phoning the doctor from Ireland.  I seem to receive a new allergy every year.

I have only broken a bone once.  In Williamstown while skiing, I went over a very large jump.  Because my arms were in my poles, I did not land safely and broke my thumb.

I have many hobbies.  The four most frequently done are orienteering, bike riding, coin collecting and stamp collecting.  I have always collected coins.  I began picking up pennies in NYC.  I started collecting stamps in third grade because my uncle was a former collector.  I learned to ride a bike at age four and have enjoyed riding ever since then.  I learned orienteering two years ago at Camp Nebagamon in Wisconsin.  At camp last summer, I got the second highest rank in Orienteering.  I have enjoyed it so much that during the past months I have made ten orienteering courses on the hill on which I live.

I have been to four summer camps, each better that the previous.  The first was Greenville Church Day Camp, which was good for a three and four year old.  The second was Edgemont Day Camp, which was dull and possessed mean and selfish counselors.  My third camp was Sound view Sports Camp.  That turned me from a non-athletic sports disliking person into an athletic, sports liking person as well as introducing me to sports.  My most favorite camp and favorite place to be is Camp Nebagamon.  I love most of the activities and am the best at many of them, wilderness tripping in the BWCA being one of my favorites.  All of my best friends from all over the world go there.  All the hill games such as four square and Rundy ball are extremely fun and challenging because of the campers strength in them.  The summer at Camp Nebagamon is my favorite time of the year and my life.

At Seely Place, I have learned a great amount and wasted some time.  In fifth grade, Philadelphia and Orienteering with Dr. Kennedy and J.C. Murphy were a lot of fun.  I will never forget comical and odorous Mr. Eusner.  Being sick for the 4th grade state tests and retests was very memorable.  Sixth Grade has been one of the best years at Seely, especially Mr. Casss class.  I learned almost but not as much in 1st grade learning how to read.  I just wish that Social Studies and Science were as interesting as Math this year.
The Foundation
As with most babies, there was nothing exceptional or interesting about jquantumr Rosenblatt as an infant.  He was not fussy and did not uncontrollably cry but he was a baby which made him dull to be around.

When jquantumr was first learning to walk he fell.  His eye inconveniently landed on the sharp point of a rocking chair.  That postponed his walking education.  jquantumr did not learn to walk until the age of one year old.

Soon after learning to walk, Mr. jquantumr moved to a small apartment in New York City.  His mom wanted better birth conditions for his sister than she had had with him in Amsterdam.  At age 2 , jquantumr moved from New York City to a much more spacious house than his apartment.  He moved to live in a house with a large yard.

When his family decided to move to the suburbs, jquantumr began school at Greenville Preschool.  He was very happy to be a big boy by attending school.  For the two remaining years of preschool, he learned at Hitchcock Nursery School.

At an early age, jquantumr had no talents other than vomiting on his uncle, playing made-up songs on the guitar and dealing with non-English speakers.  jquantumrs parents gave him his name because they wanted an under-used Jewish name.  He was always a good natured, shy and gentle preschooler and baby. He was intelligent and had an exceptionally long attention span.  As a baby, jquantumr  lived in a utilitarian Dutch room lacking a closet and spent his time sleeping, playing games, going for walks in his stroller and being read to.  jquantumr had no pets but loved to wear his sheep pants.

When jquantumr was a baby and in preschool, he was hardly ever unhappy or fussy though when he lacked sleep, he was cranky.  A cow originally called Cowwas jquantumrs most loved and prized possession.  He was very unhappy when Cowkey was lost in East Berlin.  He soon received another.  jquantumr  was afraid of high playgrounds as a toddler so he requested that a grown up accompany him.  jquantumr was a  content baby who enjoyed people.
Childhood Favorite Trips
I have enjoyed the majority of the many vacations I have taken.  My family takes vacations to certain types of places depending on the time of year.  In January and/or Christmas vacation we go skiing.  My favorite ski resort on the East Coast is Okemo.  Prior to staying at one of my grandmas apartments in Turks and Caicos, we visited Florida annually during winter vacation.  I stayed at a small vacation house in Florida, which we call the Little Pink House.  We spend all our time at the beach in Turks & Caicos.  We usually visit relatives in Nashville, TN or California or Seattle during Spring Break.  I saw what poverty was when I visited Mexico.

I go to camp in Wisconsin every summer.  Camp Nebagamon is my favorite part of the year.  At the end of the summer, I usually have an exciting experience.  Last summer I explored England.  While there, I attended my Moms cousin, Marjories wedding.  I also saw many sites in London including London Dungeon, Big Ben, British Museum, British Library, Hampton Court, Buckingham Palace, Churchills War Rooms, and many others. My favorite vacations have been to Williamsburg, Turks & Caicos, Williamstown, Seattle, Bainbridge, Washington DC, Nashville, Tennessee, California, Ireland, BWCA, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Madeline Island, Vermont, Wyoming, Montana, Yellowstone, Long Beach Island, Texas, Mexico, Marthas Vineyard, Boston, Philadelphia, Vancouver, Alberta, Whistler, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, East & West Berlin, Paris, Corsica, Portugal, Luxembourg, Maastricht, Antwerp, The Rhine.
Two years ago, I went to Ireland where we went pony caravanning with a bossy and stubborn horse and also went sightseeing.  I hated horse caravanning to start with, but grew to like it.  The summer before that, we went hiking, white water rafting and horseback riding in Wyoming.  A few years ago, my family discontinued the tradition of visiting Marthas Vineyard every summer.  I have enjoyed to the highest extent all of my vacations.
