As I look around today, society is very concerned with the future and the past. It is always where are you going or where have you been? As a student I dont have time for this. The standard measurement, much less any measurement, of time (the past, present, and future) does not apply to me. It seems that there are so many things to do that I can only concentrate on one thing at a time. Time becomes non-linear. There is only the moment, the now, the present to think about. The past and the future are pushed aside and sometimes ignored. I have chosen to render the clocks realistically to contrast with the surreal, unidentifiable background. The symbols used in the background are not actually words or mathematical equations. They represent what man has tried to impose on the concept of time in order to understand it better.
