   *          It Saves $$$$
      It saves money on; gas, parking fees, oil changes, repairs on your car, wear and tear on the roads, public transportation fees, going to the gym for a workout, etc. A good bike will pay for itself in a couple of months of commuting.

    *          It Improves Health:

      It reduces stress. It reduces blood pressure. It reduces body fat. It increases lean muscle mass. It increases bone mass. It increases your metabolism. It improves your cardiovascular system. It strengthens your lungs. It cleans your pores.

   *           It Saves the Environment:
      It reduces the number of pounds of pollution given off by your car (One mile traveled = One to Three pounds of pollution into the atmosphere you breath). It reduces the amount of oil and other car fluids spilled into the environment. It reduces road congestion for others, Noise Pollution, and Road Rage.

   *           It helps Build Relationships:
     It improves relationships by biking with family members and friends. Easier to stop and talk with neighbors and friends. Biking to a friend's house is a great destination for a weekend workout.

   *           It gets You Outdoors: You get a tan.
     You get to see birds and animals that cars just rush by or run over. You experience the natural real world while others sit in an artificial world that is robbing them of their health and peace of mind.

    *           It Builds Self-esteem:

      Your pride increases; because you overcome the natural elements, you overcome your body's resistance to change. You rely only on your own power to arrive at a destination. Others notice the positive health changes in your life. If Skiers can stay warm and dry in very cold weather conditions, a biker can also do the same and overcome the weather conditions to commute to work.

   *           It is Fun:
      It is fun to ride a bike. It is fun to pass a line of cars waiting at a stop sign. It is fun to be relaxed at work while others are stumbling through the door stressed out from their commute. It is fun to be by yourself on the road instead of crammed into a subway car or bus with a hundred sweaty, smelly people with bad breath.

   *           It saves time:
      It saves time going to a gym for a workout. It saves time on oil changes and car repairs. It saves time in Registry of Motor Vehicle lines. It is fun to arrive at work faster than many public transportation options. I can get home in 55 minutes on my bike through Boston from Charlestown to West Roxbury. If I take the commuter system, I arrive home after a 90 minute commute. I avoid the congestion of people, and I get my exorcise.
