About me

I am a Computer Science student. at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette . During my third year at the University (In the Fall of 2002), I was enrolled in a Technical Writing class taught by Dr. Jack Ferstel for which I developed this page as a project.

Currently, my primary web site is at http://mysidia.darkfire.net. This explanatory note was added in April of 2005: the site otherwise stands as it did October 25, 2002

My primary interests are: Computers, Computer Programming, Open Source Software development, and computing in general. Mainly, I like making things via computer, especially, I like trying to build things that seem hard or impossible to make, for the challenge of wandering into unknown territory.

Additionally, I have interest in RPGs (roleplaying games), I enjoy playing single-player video-game-style RPGs such as Final Fantasy, and I help administer a few Internet MUDs that are considered online text-based roleplaying games.

I don't watch anything on television, and I feel that that is an ineffective use of time. For news information Google News, Kuro5hin.org, and the various other news sites and weblogs on the Internet provide current news on any general subject.

There are also some satire news sites that I find humorous and quite enjoyable, they include, Bbspot, The Onion, and The Register,.

My favorite sort of music is the instrumental and classical kind. I don't listen to anything that will distract me from my computing or give me a headache: I turn off the radio if it starts playing anything that resembles hard rock or rap "music".

The common foods I like best are, well Seafood Gumbos, Seafood in general, and crab in particular. Then there are lasagna and pizza, with pepperoni, mushrooms, and lots of green peppers, which are also among my favorites.
