| Yep, Life here in Denmark was quite different. But is different a bad thing? Of course not. It can be said that an individual is the sum of their personal experiences. Hence, the unique nature of every person around you. I guess I would say that each country, or region perhaps, has its own distinct flavor in which the history and people make up what we know of as culture. Here on your left is a not so flattering picture of me at my desk in my kollegium (dorm) room. It was from this place that this unholy website was begotten. Below is a scene of Rodovre, the town I stay in, by the bus station. At night, the area behind the bushes is known as a discreet gay cruising spot. (wait, did you believe that?) |

| Above is a scene of downtown Copenhagen in the evening. My school, DIS, is located here in close proximity to the Tivoli, the TownSquare, and the Museum Erotica. Also above is a section of Kobenhavn's famous harbor (hence the havn) which is still a major center of business to this day. Kobenhavn is one of Europe's oldest centers of culture which boasts the longest continuing monarchy in the world. Its downtown has been reclaimed by pedestrians and has avoided destroying its antiquity with the dominance of modern skyscrapers. The leading industries include bio-technologies, pharmaceuticals, and Carlsberg Beer. As a welfare state, it has almost no poverty and violent crime is virtually nonexistant. Here, people of the same sex have the right to marry, the right to quality health care, and the right to education.
