 THE COMMISH: OFFSEASON BALLOTING RESULTS
The votes are in. Drum roll, please: 1. Adopt waiver wire system for released players? If you look at the rules page, you'll notice this new rule is longer than all the other rules combined. 2. Award additional yardage bonuses for QBs? The Weathermen may be gone, but they left a lasting legacy in the form of a scoring chart change: QBs now get 6 points for 350-399 yards and 7 points for a 400-plus yard day. 3. Mandate that owners that do not show up for the draft in person must use their first-round and third-round picks on a kicker and a defense? Um, about that lasting legacy ... 4. Award additional points for defenses? Less work for the Commish on Sunday. 5. Increase entry fee from $15 to $20? You could have gotten one-third of a quality lap dance at Thee Dollhouse with that $5. Now aren't you sad you voted "Yay"? 6. Allow each team one "Monday Night Mulligan" per season? Top five worst rule suggestions ever (one Commish's opinion): 7. Use Head-2-Head records, instead of points, for playoff seedings? Ring's not going to feel nearly as good about this in November when he has enough points to qualify for the playoffs, but not the record. 8. Use a keeper-league format following the 2003 season? Strike FIVE on the keeper league suggestion. 9. Institute an official trade protest process? Honesty really is the best policy, isn't it? I know everyone in this league will keep it honest and legit anyway, so I guess this rule really isn't necessary. |
