EXPLANATION OF DIVISIONS![]() As I see it, the most logical way to set divisions is to group the teams with the longest tenure, provided each of these teams keeps a consistent level of success throughout its time in the league. This allows the league's oldest rivals to play each other twice in a season. Three factors go into the formula used to determine divisions: average finish, average points scored per season, and league tenure. All participating teams are ranked in each of those three categories, and assigned a point total based on those rankings. The three resulting numbers are then added together, and divided by three. The five teams with the lowest point total are assigned to division "A"; the rest are banished to the "B" division. Overall league championship total is used as the tie-breaker if two teams are equal for the final spot in "A", Tech Bowl championships is the secondary tie-breaker, then it's highest finish in the most recent season's final standings.
"A" teams have the pure white background, teams with the silver background are Division "B" material. If anyone decides not to return in 2002, I have to reconfigure all this crap, so everyone had better be back!
