TFFL Interactive Poll Results

In the 2001 season finale (1/06/02) ...
We learned that 50 cents won the league title for the Gamblers. Where would our champion have finished if not for a Week 5 pickup of the Bears defense (2 votes) and a Week 8 signing of Dominic Rhodes (2 votes)? Two players who were deemed unworthy of roster spots by the Gambler also tallied two votes each: Jayhawks receiver Derrick Mason (signed in Week 7) and T-Bird2 runner Anthony Thomas (Week 6). It appears Steve cast his vote for Carolina Killer Marty Booker (Week 3), while someone apparently couldn't separate reality from fantasy and voted for Weathermen Week 7 signee Tom Brady. Trung Canidate of the Gamblers (Week 6) and Kevin Johnson of T-Bird2 (Week 4) were shut out of the voting.

Lessons from Poll No. 8 (12/31/01) ...
We learned that WR Brandon Stokley is not deserving of his roster spot on the Berserkers. Stokley's three votes topped Jayhawks RB Fred Taylor, Heelbillys WR Donald Hayes and since-released Carolina Killers RB Troy Hambrick, all of whom received one vote apiece.

Lessons from Poll No. 7 (12/19/01) ...
We learned that with the first selection in the 2002 TFFL draft, Berserkers/Bottlerockets/Heelbillys will select either Marshall Faulk (5 votes) or Kurt Warner (4 votes). No one else merits consideration according to the nine owners who cast their votes. Personally, the Commish thinks one of these two should slip to the No. 7 or 8 pick in the draft.

Lessons from Poll No. 6 (12/11/01) ...
We learned that lap dances are popular. Duh! The real upset here is that only three of 10 voters said they would rather see their $50 go for a nice set of hoo-hoos just inches from their faces. Two voters (McGee voted twice I'm sure) would place their $50 Tech Bowl bets on the Jellpoppers, while two voters got a good chuckle from the mere thought of the Heelbillys winning the title. The Jayhawks, Weathermen and Coyotes somehow managed to get one vote apiece. Oh, what Bubba wouldn't give to convert that vote into a point.

Lessons from Poll No. 5 (11/30/01) ...
We learned that TFFL owners extract no greater joy than from knocking the stuffing out of the Jayhawks and T-Bird2. The Bird Bros. collected four votes apiece, while the Weathermen picked up two votes (OK, OK, both by the Commish). Someone voted for Heelbillys, but let's face it, shouldn't your No. 1 rival pose some sort of challenge?

Lessons from Poll No. 4 (11/23/01) ...
We learned that fewer people are voting on this poll! Plus, T-Bird's selection of Shaun Alexander with pick No. 120 was the best of the draft, according to four voters. Curtis Martin at No. 15 by the Berserkers and James Thrash at No. 78 by Jellypop Fighters got a shout with one vote apiece. Dissed: Daunte Culpepper (T-Bird, No. 1), Jeff Garcia, (Carolina Killers No. 7), Donovan McNabb (Jellypop Fighters, No. 23) and John Carney (Jellypop Fighters, No. 168).

Lessons from Poll No. 3 (11/14/01) ...
We learned that freezing three players would be primo in the minds of five owners. Four voters said "Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!" One guy wanted to keep two players, another four. That's 11 votes, friends. Someone voted twice! Shame on you! Selections one and five got no love.

Lessons from Poll No. 2 (11/07/01) ...
We learned that Tim Biakabutuka is one fragile MF, or so said seven voters. Fraud Taylor ran a close second with five votes. Jamal Anderson (done for the year), Terrell Davis (done for the next month) and Thomas Jones (who cares?) all collected one vote each, while Drew Bledsoe got zero points, and wasn't supposed to be included in this poll. Anyone seen Rob Johnson lying around?

Lessons from Poll No. 1 (10/31/01) ...
We learned that TFFL owners want to punch T-Bird2's players in the face. Tim's feathered fiends collected 10 votes for an overwhelming 62 percent. Dre' Bly mustered three votes, Na Brown two and Alge Crumpler one. No one wanted to slap Freddie Jones around.
