Q: Where are you located?
A: JSK Entertainment works out of Binghamton, NY
Q: How much do you charge for a booking?
A: JSK takes 10% of all entrance fees to an event.
This is the best approach as different artists will draw different
numbers.
EX: your band draws 100 people @ $5 a head = $500 ~ JSK receives
$50 off the top
Q: How big are the venues that you work with?
A: We book venues according to how we feel your band or a combination of bands
will draw. The venues we work with have a capacity range from 100 to 400
Q: Does a representative from your company actually attend the show?
A: A JSK rep. attends EVERY show we book
Q: Who is in charge of paying you?
A: JSK gets paid by the bar owner and NEVER touches a dime of the bands money
Q: What do you look for in submissions?
A: We want original, interesting and hard working bands. Obviously there must
be talent but we look at the total package and experience as well.
Q: Are your contracts binding?
A: No. Our booking contracts are a basic agreement that the band will play the
show and that we will get paid our quoted percentage. EVERY show is a one
time agreement and in no way does JSK Entertainment bind your act from
booking any shows with anyone else
Q: Why should my band book a show through you instead of on our own?
A: Most clubs and taverns in the upstate NY area are very picky about the
bands they hire because frankly, the area does not a generate a large live
music attendance. If your band is popular, drawing well and touring then
you don't need us at all but many new and talented bands are being created
in the tri-state area and we offer a much quicker way to break onto the scene
