First (Sir Paint)

In "First", as in the first man, the first woman, the original sin committed by Adam and Eve (according to Abrahamic religions) in the garden of Eden, artist Nuala Goodman drew the hands of this Swatch in the shape of Eve. While the hour points are indicated by apples, the symbol for the fruits of the tree of Knowledge; the band imitates the snake, the symbol of evil. This Swatch evokes Eve in her nakedness and voluptuousness inviting man to commit a sin at anytime of the day.

Nuala Goodman born in Dublin in 1962, studied painting at the National College of Art and Design. She has lived in Milan since 1984 and design fabrics and is in charge of windows displays in the showrooms of companies such as Alessi and Enzo. At present, she is working on her own collection of sculptures. (Swatchwatches Vol. II)
