No words can describe his works. When Swatch wrote him as "the most famous artist of our century," Swatch was really mean it. He is a legend in his fields and he inspired many modern arts in this century.
Vasarely, who is now in his 80's is considered One of the Greatest Artists the World Has Ever Seen. He is known as an innovator & a Genuine Master, & holds an honored place in Contemporary Art. He is called the "Father of OP-Art". Vasarely works exclusively in Serigrapy (Silkscreen) & has been awarded the Highest International Prizes all around the world. Among those awards are:
The Critics Prize in Brussels
The Gold Medal in Milan
The International Prize in Venezuela
The Guggenheim Prize in New York
Three different museums have been built in his honor to exclusivelydisplay his work & He has had over 100 Books written about him. You will always recognize this artists work by the way your eyes perceive his images in 3-dimentions. When you look at his work you can understand why this man from Hungary is considered one of the World's Greatest Artists. His name even flows from your lips - Victor Vasarely. (text from wwart)
