july12
another hot, sunny, scorching july summer day. the only smart thing to do was stay as close to water as possible...and maybe take a few dozen pictures.
man, it was hot, and has been hot, and will keep being hot...I mean it's summer. So we rinse the heat away the best we can in the 6th View, dodging the ever-lethal jellyfish from the sea or possums from the earth.
We will have fun.
now if you look back at the pictures, you might notice the tide going out as the island sandbar gets bigger and bigger... low tide is the best time here as the water shallows turning the sandbars into these little islands and peninsulas, creating an almost Caribbean atmosphere while you sit with your chair in the water and the waves break on your legs and feet. not too damn bad, I must say.
oh yeah...and I have to mention, this is Christian and his new friend Chris who built the "fortress" on the sandbar.
oh yeah....in the ongoing possum hunting adventures, a pest control technician caught a total of 4 possums in two traps under the house. that makes the count six...these pictures show possum #5 (pics 1&2) and possum #6 (pic. 3)
no more have been caught over the next few days, so the traps are gone and now we await to see if all the possums have truly left the building...
