The kids LIVE at Cold Stone Creamery
The kids had been riding me about taking them to a liveshot at work and when I found out from my reporter, Joe, that we were doing Cold Stone Creamery, it felt like a natural, with them as background actors, playing the part of "themselves": kids scarfing down ice cream during a hot, summer heatwave...
So here's the pics I took and the PR lady shot for me...
Good times, good ice cream, memories for a lifetime...I'll try and post the live hits later...need to burn a DVD, convert, reformat, etc..etc...
For now, enjoy these:
the drivers...
in the truck...
Christian inspects the mast...
Getting ready to go LIVE
Blurry kids scarfing...
And we're live, Hampton Roads!!!
Chowing down a bowl of whipped cream...just props...
Going live again...
A blurry out-of-focus pic of the kids as seen from the live truck's rear camera....
Oh...and the pic on FM99's website with the kids, from the Tractor Races Friday...
I took the kids to my liveshot Friday, as it was a fun one, the FM99 10th Annual Lawnmower & Tractor Race. They went last year and had a blast so I thought they'd dig it this year...We had a great time, Tommy & Rumble are all crazy as well as their crew and the drivers are a different breed altogether...We did liveshots for the morning show and then shot and edited a pkg-story that aired in Friday's 5:30 newscast...
I didn't take any pictures as I was busy shooting with the big camera, but I checked the FM99 website and found a few, including this one.
yeah...that's the kids on the sidelines.
They are so famous...on tv eating ice cream one day and on the area's ROCK station website the next...regular celebrities.
I gave the cute promotions girl who was taking pictures my card with email so hopefully she'll get me some more pics. She took a bunch of everyone...so if you guys out there at the station know her, encourage her to hook me up...hahah...thanks...
anyways...a good time had by all...and there are more pics here:

HAVE a great weekend...
