The following 2 shots are of the verandah (that's what the builder called it, because it had a roof). I call it a porch. Most porches are 8' wide. This porch is 10'. The wider porch does make it nice cause it doesn't rain on the furniture. Nothing better than a good book and the rain coming down.

We have the CD player and grill out there and do spend a lot of time enjoying our trees and birds. There are no stairs to get to the porch and it is about 3 stories high. (due to the high footings) We are able to leave all 3 sliding doors open and enjoy the outside.
