The Yankees have won 26 world championships. That's 16 more than the second place team. Probably one of the best times of this organization was the late 1990's and 2000 when the Yankees won 3 championships in a row including a trip to the 2001 and 2003 World Series. There organization is owned by Billionaire George Steinbrenner, who also is the gm, and are known to outbid any team out their. But the Yankees haven't gotten all of the past championships off of money, they have had a lot of managing and one of the clutchest hitters all time in Derek Jeter.
The Yankees have had the best team in baseball the last couple of seasons, but have not been able to win a world championship. They still have some of the veterans that know how to win such as Jorje Posada and Mike Mussina and 32 year old Derek Jeter, who is eager for another championship. The Yankees have started out slow this season, but as of Sunday, they resigned a man who was with the organization not too long ago and won 2 championships while going to the world series 4 times with the Yankees and making it to the playoffs every year, as of Sunday, the Yankees resigned Rodger Clemens. The Yankees will be getting most of their injured guys back soon, Alex Rodrigez is off to one of the best starts in baseball history, the best closer all time, who may have started out a little slow, but will soon dominate like in the past, Mariano Rivera,
and last, but not least, possibly the best pitcher all time, Rodger Clemens will be making his first start in less than a month,
and his signing has energized the whole team including his good friend Andy Pettite. The Yankees have won 13 straight division titles in a row, but this year, not only do I think they are going to win the division, the New York Yankees are, with all of their great players that have won championships with them, going all the way
