Dear Mr. Kosters,

My name is Jesse Segall. I read your book Financing College Tuition for my high school class writing for the 21st Century. This is a course concerned with social causes.

For the class, we were told that we needed to read one outside reading book in addition to the work in class. Everyone in the class picked a social issue for which we researched the entire semester. The book we selected had to go along with our topic. My topic is college tuition and how it causes many problems for students when deciding what college to attend. Your book seemed like the best aid for my research.

After reading your book I don’t find myself as satisfied as I hoped. I am not saying that your book isn’t useful, I am just trying to say that it was a little to complicated for me. In my opinion, someone reading your book must have a surplus of knowledge and understanding for the college tuition process. I found myself confused by the graphs and charts. I think this book is well written and very factual, but is way too in-depth for a high school senior like myself. Perhaps, if you intend on helping students like myself, you should consider publishing a simpler version.

Thank you for your time. I hope that my letter does not sound negative, as I have no intention of offending you. I think you are a stupendous writer and you have and undeniably large amount of knowledge on college tuition. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Jesse Segall
