Directions: Answer each question very neatly and very completely on loose-leaf paper or through word processing. Make your answers clear and well written, please. Design a decorative cover page stating your name & the book's title and author. If you'd like, you may do a small illustration for each question. Have fun with this assignment. 1. In what time period does your novel take place? List at least 5 details from the first chapter that reflect this time period.
2. Describe the main character in this novel. Use at least 5 descriptive words or phrases.
3. Describe the setting in this novel in at least 5 sentences. Begin each sentence in a different way. Use at least 5 descriptive phrases.
4. Explain why you would or would not want to live during the time period during which this book takes place. Write at least 5 sentences.
5. Explain in at least 5 sentences what you would do if you were in the same situation that the main character is in.
6. If you were a character in your book, which character would you be best friends with and why? Write at least 5 sentences.
7. How is the story perfect for the time period in which it is set? Explain in at least 5 sentences.
8. In at least 5 sentences, explain what the main problem has been in the story and how you think it will be solved.
9. Simply summarize in at least 5 sentences the section you read this evening. Begin each sentence differently and be descriptive.
10. Explain how the book ended in at least five sentences. Did you like or dislike the ending? Why? Would you read another book by the same author?
