• Select a biography that you think you will enjoy reading.
• Read every question below before reading the biography.
• Answer the questions as you read the book.
• Neatly hand write or type final report and make a nice, illustrated cover with the book’s title, author and your name.

The response to each question must be at least five (5) sentences long. If the question truly does not fit the section you read for homework, simply summarize the section in at least five sentences.

 

1.  Why do you think you selected this person's biography? After reading the first chapter, are you happy with your selection? Why or why not?

 

2.  From what you have read so far, how is this person's life similar to or different from yours?

 

3.  Explain what has impressed you most about this person's life so far.

 

4.  Explain what you admire about this person based on what you've learned about him/her so far.

 

5.  Explain any problem or problems that this person had in his or her life. Was there something he/she had to overcome? Was there something he/she wanted and struggled to get or to achieve?

 

6.  Describe what his/her education was like. Did he/she enjoy school?

 

7.  Explain what this person's goal in life was. If you can, tell how he/she achieved his/her goal.

 

8.  Based on what you've read so far (you should be near the end of the book), what do you admire most about this person's life?

 

9.  Explain what this person seemed to enjoy most in life?

 

10.  Explain what you think is important to learn from reading the biography of this person?
