Hendry's Beach also known as Arroyo Burro Park and "The Pit",to local surfers.
Just a beach. Wide and sandy, and extremely popular with locals. A walk UP the beach (we call it north, but it's really west) takes you beneath the blufftops to the private Hope Ranch beach - about a mile. The other direction (towards SB) takes you below the cliffs along the Mesa neighborhoods. It's about a 3 mile walk to Ledbetter. Don't try it at high tide.
