Roger: Well not really.

Sister: What do you mean.

Roger: I went blank when she asked for a present.

Dad: And??

Roger: And I proposed.

Dad: You did what?  Oh way to go son.  Throw your life away.  Marriage…bleh.  Highly overrated.

Mom: Well the truth finally comes out.

Sister: So what did she say?

Roger: Guess.

Dad: Knowing her she probably said yes.

Roger: Correct.

Dad: I knew it.  I knew it all along.

Roger: Good for you dad.  You want a trophy?  A plaque with your name on it perhaps.

Mom: So what are you going to do?

Roger: Well I'm going to marry her.  That's what I had in mind.  We are going to pick out rings the day after Christmas.

Dad: Yeah I was wondering how you proposed with no ring.  Used the old I wanted you to pick it out yourself trick eh?

Roger: Yep

Dad: I raised a smart boy.

Mom: Of course I had nothing to do with it.

Dad: I'm glad you see things my way.  That's why I love ya.

Mom: I'm flattered.
