Day 1: We loaded the ship today with all the materials we'll need. I've included a list in the back of my journal. I noticed that one of my men is cross-eyed and talks to himself. He may be a spy. I have to watch him. There wasn't enough food for the number of men we had so we went and pillaged our village to get more. We would've just asked, but that takes to long. We set sail when the sun was hugging the west sky. I am going to sleep now. I have a long journey ahead of me.
Day 2: Woke up this morning to the sound of the cross-eyed man crowing like a chicken. I wonder what his problem is. Breakfast was good. There were many different entrees to enjoy. Poggins, the chef, had made an excellent meal. We gave him a pat on the back. Much to my dismay, one of my men had a hook on his hand and, when patting Poggins, sliced the poor chef clean in half. All the men got angry with the hook man, Patihhi, and decided to make him jump from the topsail into the ocean. The ocean wasn't very nice to him either. As soon as he hit the water a giant sea creature devoured him. It was a sight to see let me tell you. That's enough about death though. I want to talk about my long journey. Today we started our journey around the big rock. As we looked over the port side, we saw many beautiful plants and trees. Oh it was more colorful than that the water when Patihhi got ate. We saw a monkey who had fangs like that of the undead walker. The monkey leapt at me, but I dodged his attack. The giant ape then seemed to disappear into the mist. I grow weary of this day. After supper I will read my issue of Maxim and then go to bed.
Day 3: The strangest thing happened this morning. A crewman came into my room and woke me up. He was complaining of pain. I told him to take some Advil. He then yelled some foreign language and died right there. That fool bled on my favorite 25-cent romance novel. He had the oddest mark on his stomach. It looked as if a vampire had bit him then ate inside his liver and jumped out. Hmmm, I sure am going to miss that novel. I need breakfast. Day 3 After Breakfast: What a tasty meal that was. The new chef is odd though. He wears metal clothing. He says it is for safety, but if he fell in the water he'd drown for sure. He's a crazy one that new chef. I studied the map today. It seems as if my journey won't be as long as I had expected. Good thing too. That was the last of the food. I think that 1800 pound behemoth of a chef ate it all. Oh well. Chin up. It will all look better tomorrow.
