Christmas Bedtime Stories
There are so many wonderful books you can read to your child at Christmas time.
Keep them in a special basket or place your children can reach so they can look at them all during the month of December.

Here are a few of the books that have been popular with my students or my own
boys when they were young.

The Night Before Christmas
This is perfect for reading on Christmas Eve. Look for beautiful illustrated versions by Jan Brett,
Mary Engelbreit, or Gyo Fujikawa.

An Elf For Christmas by Michael Garland
This has amazing pictures and a fun story.

Peef the Christmas Bear
and

A Silent Night For Peef by Heg & Hanson
These are sweet stories with great illustrations.

Counting to Christmas by Nancy Tafuri
Shows ways to prepare for the holiday. Nice big pictures and print.

Of course you can't go wrong with classics like Rudolph , Frosty the Snowman,
or the Polar Express. And be sure to include some scratch and sniff or open-the-flap books just for fun. Children love them.

Make books part of your holiday
and your children will learn that reading is special.
