My Model 140 alto (Before/After) |
|
|
|
This is a photo log of my 342k Buescher Model 140 alto sax, before and after its February 2003 plating job at Anderson's Silverplating in Elkhart, IN. |

This is how the horn looked before the plating job. About 60% original lacquer in a pretty bad state of deterioration. |

And here's the "after" shot. I guess a small pic is better than no pic! |

The engraving came out nice and clear, they must have used a bare minimum of buffing. |

The gold wash bell. I am not worthy, but I figured if I am going for the retro look, might as well go all the way. :) |

The LH pinky table and palm keys, with the all important caramel colored rollers. My thanks to Anderson's for a terrific job, done with meticulous care and detail! |

The RH stack with another view of the engraving. Note also that Anderson's masked off the body bands and left them bright silver. |
