The Messiah is here

Well Finally the Messiah has returned home, Yes folks John O Mahony has at last been reeled in by the County Board to be the man to bring Mayo forward.

What a relief that was for myself I am so glad John has returned. Now the players and County have no excuses before when we lost finals everyone blamed the manager and always referred back to "if johnno was in charge that wouldnt have happened!" Well now Mayos legendary followers cannot use that excuse any longer.

The man who won a Connaught Title with Letrim, 3 All Irelands(1 U-21, 2 Senior) with Galway and recently masterminded St Brigids of Roscommon winning the Connaught Club Title. surely he can bring Sam back to the West.  Although I do say this with caution as it wont happen over night, give Johnno time!

Johnno took along time to come to his decision and alot of people were getting impatient with him, you could sense it couldnt you? people were starting to turn on him? "He thinks he is going to hold the county to ransom?" was one of the shouts I heard. Infairness to Johnno he just wanted to make sure everything was in Place for him this time round, I do believe the League fixtures was a big issue in the debate, getting it finished on time and freeing up players for County training etc.. Well what would be the point in him jumping into the job and then after a few months quitting because of a fall out with the big wigs!? I think he was right!

I would like to hear your views on this?

What about the new hurling manager? yes Mayo have a new Hurling manager as our Previous manager Browne was sacked after reaching the semi final of the Christy Ring Cup(for those of you that dont know the winners of that go through to the Liam McCarthey Cup)

What about you boys over in Manchester any words on the GAA scene over there heading into the winter?

All your comments are welcome?!!?
