Kylie laughed as she watched Jennifer flip her auburn colored hair over her shoulder and smirk. “You’re a nut.”
“Perfect for Chris!” giggled Kimberlynn as she sipped her diet coke.
“Whatever!” protested Jennifer, folding her arms over her chest and pretending to pout. She struggled to keep a straight and serious face but burst into a fit of laughter as Kylie tickled her sides. “Not fair! You cheated,” she gasped, trying to breath between her giggles.
Kylie stuck her tongue out and sat back on the soft leather couch. “When do you leave again?”
“Tomorrow night,” Jennifer sighed. “It sucks, I know, but it’s my job and I love it.”
“Where are they playing?” asked Kimberlynn. Jennifer was a journalist for the Atlanta Braves and traveled with the team. When they were at home she went to Orlando while another journalist covered the game.
“LA. Chris is gonna come with me so we can hang out and stuff,” Jennifer replied. Reaching up she released her hair from the claw and then twisted it back up so it was tighter.
“Nice.” Kylie stood up and stretched. “So have any of y’all met lil Miss Alexis Rae?”
Both girls shook their heads and rolled their eyes. “Nope. But I heard from Justin that AJ doesn’t like her too much but JC is infatuated with her.”
Jennifer looked at Kimberlynn with wide eyes and smirked. “Infatuated Kimbs? Pretty big word don’t you think?”
“Shut up!” Kimberlynn swung the pillow at her, smacking her in the face.
“HEY!” yelled Lance as he walked into the family room. “No beating up on my girlfriend,” he flashed a smile and winked. “Unless I’m invited!” Grabbing a pillow from the Lazy Boy chair beside him he chucked it at Kimberlynn hitting her square in the face.

“Neen!” JC shouted as he hopped up the stairs, taking two at a time.
“What?” Nina yelled back from her desk.
JC appeared in the doorway and watched as his younger sister slammed her journal shut. “Whatcha writing?” he asked, knowing she hated it when he was noisy.
“None of your damn business Joshua.” He hated it when she called him by his full name and she did it only to antagonize him. “What the hell do you want?”
Dropping his body heavily onto her bed he grabbed the Cosmo that had been tossed on it and flipped through the pages. “So do you like your new teacher?” he asked casually.
“Alexis Rae? Fuck no, she’s a little bitch,” Nina said, rolling her brown eyes. “And no JC I don’t think she’ll date you so get over yourself.”
“I didn’t say I wanted to date her Nina,” retorted JC. Sitting up he threw the magazine aside. “Why is she a bitch?”
“Because,” Nina sighed dramatically and ran her hands through her sleek brown hair. She was in the exact opposite of JC in terms of looks with her smooth olive complexion and dark hair and eyes. But their personalities were similar with the same stubbornness and drive to succeed. “She acts like she knows everything about everyone and she doesn’t Jayce. Yah, she may be a hot dancer but that doesn’t make her a good choreographer.” She stared at her older brother for a minute and then shook her head. “Anyways, I have to get home. Ella Mae is stopping by so I’ll see you later.” Brushing by him she headed down the stairs and out to her white Mustang.

Caitlin threw the ball and grimaced as it bounced off the backboard, neglecting to fall through the net.
“I WON!” shouted Justin, performing a crazy dance in center court.
“Whatever,” Caitlin rolled her eyes and dribbled the ball in place. “I have to let you win sometimes just so you’ll keep playing me.”
Justin stopped mid pelvic thrust. “What Cat?” He stalked towards her, his hands on his waist. “Something you’d like to share with the class?”
Biting the corner of her lip she pretended to ponder the question. With a chesire grin she said slowly, “You….SUCK!” Throwing the ball at his chest she turned and took off at a full sprint.
Startled Justin stared at her shrinking figure before racing after her. “Not funny Cat. And I don’t suck!”
Adrianna stepped on the back porch just in time to see the pair go tumbling to the ground as Justin tackled her from behind. Her honey brown eyes narrowed as she watched Caitlin sit on his stomach trying to pin his shoulders to the ground. She knew the two had been best friends since childhood but she hated the fact that they were so close. Justin constantly reassured her that she was first in his life but she knew that Caitlin was a close second and it bothered her. Arianna waved as Justin looked up and spotted her. Plastering a smile on her face she strutted over to where they were picking themselves up off the ground.
