Alexis slammed the phone down after a heated
conversation between her and Heather. The Beat would
have to deal with not having their top choreographers
there. AJ was Alexis's friend and that meant more to
her than any dancing school around. Alexis picked out
random clothes while she searched through the Internet
for a decent hotel to stay in. Her quick moving was
halted by the sound of her apartment door bell. She
slammed the last shirt into her bag and ran to the
door.
"Who is it?" Alexis called from the other side of the
door.
"JC, remember me? Your boyfriend." Alexis's eyes grew
at the sound of JC's voice. In all this mess with
Arianna and Justin she completely forgot about JC.
"Baby." Alexis said as she threw open her door and
maneuvered her way into JC's open arms.
"What are you doing babe?" JC asked as he looked
behind his girlfriend's body. He noticed two packed
bags and a window on the computer with the title 'New
York Lodging'.
"Um, I'm flying out to New York tonight sweetie."
Alexis turned away from JC and clicked the X on the
computer.
"Why?" JC asked.
"Well, AJ is sick in the hospital and were unsure what
she is sick with. All we know is she needs someone
there and we need to be there." Alexis quickly
explained.
"Wait wait. Who exactly is we?" JC's question was held
on pause as the doorbell rang. Alexis held her index
finger up to JC and ran to the door. Without
questioning who it was Alexis let the door fly open to
expose Justin with a bag in his left hand and roses in
his right.
"Justin is we." Alexis turned to JC.

Arianna sighed as she flipped through the channels.
She was trying desperately not to think about the
Leukemia but every time she turned on a TV show it
somehow in some way reminded her of it. She looked
around the empty hospital room as she let the tears
build up in her eyes. Normally there would be flowers
and balloons and millions of people invading her room
telling her how much they love her. This time it was
different. No one was there, she was alone.
Arianna's thoughts were interrupted by a familiar
face.
"Hey AJ, how are you?" Britney's face came peering
around the corner.
"Oh, hi Britney. I didn't expect you to come in." AJ
sat up and moved the tears from underneath her eyes.
"Yeah well, I got a break and I'd figure I'd come and
make sure you were all right. What's going on?"
Britney placed the vase full of white roses onto AJ's
night stand and then sat on the edge of her bed.
"I..." Arianna paused, she didn't want to tell anyone,
"I have Leukemia."
Britney gasped silently as she watched the tears pour
from AJ's eyes. Britney moved in closer to the crying
girl and wrapped her arms around her. AJ was unsure
of how to act around Britney considering she was
practically a stranger but she was the only person she
had to confide in at that moment. The two women
pulled away. Britney flashed her heart melting smile
and stood up.
"I left my number with the nurse. If you need
anything, I mean ANYTHING at all, call me okay?"
Britney offered.
"Thanks Britney, it's good to know I have a friend
right now." AJ said softly.
"You have more than one friend right now AJ." Alexis
appeared from behind Britney. AJ's eyes moved up to
see the girl with bags in her arms. She looked around
for sight of Justin first but didn't want Alexis to
feel like she wasn't welcome. A smile spread across
her lips as Alexis moved towards AJ. The two women
pulled each other into a strong hug.
"I'm glad you're here." AJ said when the two pulled
apart.
"Well, I'm going to go, call me AJ." Britney said.
"Thanks Brit." AJ smiled softly.
"AJ!" AJ heard from outside of her room. Justin flew
around the corner and into the room causing his solid
physique to slam right into Britney. The two looked
at each other in surprise.
"You're Britney Spears!" Justin said excitedly.
"And you're in my way." Britney laughed.
"Oh sorry," Justin moved out of the way and without
saying another word he ran into the hospital room to
see Alexis sitting next to AJ. Her honey brown eyes
were sulky and her face was chalky and tired. Justin
ran to AJ's side and pulled her up into his arms
causing Alexis's to jump out of the way, "Age, I'm so
sorry."
"I'm sorry for leaving J." Arianna sobbed into his
shoulder. The two held each other for a while. He
pressed his warm lips into her freezing cold forehead
and then placed her down.
"AJ, what's going on?" Alexis asked.
"You guys, I have, I...I...I..," Arianna slammed her
hands into her face and began to sob. She didn't want
to tell them and see the hurt in their eyes. She
didn't want to see more pain than she was already
feeling, "I have Leukemia."
Justin and Alexis looked over at each other in
disbelief. Alexis's eyes watered up as well as
Justin's. The two threw their arms out and pulled the
crying Arianna into their embrace.
"Mr. Timberlake, Miss Taylor visiting hours are now
over." The nurse said in the door.
"Can't we stay over night?" Justin asked.
"I'm sorry but that is not permitted here, I'm going
to have to ask you to leave." The nurse said quietly.

Alexis and Justin walked into the fairly decent hotel
room. Alexis threw her bag next to the bed as she
sighed. So many emotions were consuming her. She
couldn't handle it. She walked over to the bed and
thrusted her body into the bed. She turned over on
her side and watched Justin as he began to unpack his
things. She missed Justin terribly. She wanted to be
with him so bad. She hated putting herself in that
situation especially because she does care about JC.
She brushed her blonde curls out of her face as she
picked up the phone and began to dial JC's number.
"Hello?" She heard a female's voice on the other end.
"Is JC there?" Alexis asked. She knew JC would be
staying at his parents house while he got his
apartment bug sprayed.
"Who may I ask is speaking?" She could tell with
Nina's snotty tone Nina knew full well who was
calling.
"Nina, put JC on the phone." Alexis demanded. Nina
threw the phone down with no words. Alexis watched
Justin take off his shirt as she waited for the sound
of JC's voice.
"Hello?" Alexis finally heard.
"Hey babe, I'm in the hotel." Alexis said softly.
"Are you and Justin sharing a room?" JC asked. Alexis
looked at the small hotel room. She glanced around at
the king size bed that sat in the middle of the room.
"Yeah, but there are two twin beds." Alexis lied.
Justin turned and looked at Alexis with a doubtful
face. Alexis hushed his looks with her hand.
"Alright, well I can't stay on sweet heart I have to
work tomorrow. How is AJ?" JC asked.
"She's uh, dealing with a lot, we'll talk about it
tomorrow." Alexis answered. She wasn't sure if Arianna
wanted everyone knowing about her deadly illness.
"Alright babe, I love you." That was the first time
she heard JC say those words. A smiled spread along
her face.
"I love you too." She spoke clearly. Justin spun
around from the mirror to watch Alexis's mouth speak
those words. He looked back towards the mirror and
rolled his eyes.
"Bye."
"Bye," Alexis placed the phone down and got out of the
bed, "Um, I still sleep naked, I hope you don't mind."
"No, I don't care." Justin didn't even look at Alexis.
Alexis pulled her clothes off. She decided to leave
her bra and thong on. Although it would probably be
easy to seduce Justin in his state of vounerability
she decided to be an adult and respect Justin and AJ's
relationship.
"Do you want me to sleep on the floor?" Alexis asked.
Justin's eyes left the mirror and looked at Alexis.
That was an extremely mature thing for her to say. A
smile crept upon his lips.
"Nah Lexie, it's cool," Justin said. He placed the
clippers down and crawled into the bed next to Alexis.
Alexis reached up and turned the light off. She
turned to where her face was facing Justin, "I still
love you Alexis, you know that right?"
"Yeah I do. I love you too J." Alexis smiled. Justin
planted a small kiss on his best friend's forehead.
