Chapter 3
*********
**
Justin’s voice was amazing. I mean when we were 14 he
could sing but I hadn’t heard him since his voice
matured. Every time one of his songs or videos came
on I turned them off. I was truly wowed at how well
these four men sang. I still can’t believe he’s
standing before me. I used to ask myself what I would
say if I ever saw him again. And when I had the
chance I could barely speak his name. It’s kind of
weird the way I feel. My emotions are going every
which way and it’s driving me crazy! About an hour
went by and their session finally ended. I thought
I’d never get out of there. Sure enough I couldn’t
get out of there fast enough.
“What a way to break you in than with a party.” Chris
said jumping towards me. His big brown eyes grew in
excitement.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Kicking off the tour party, we have one every tour.”
Lance answered.
“Oh, well, I don’t know you guys, the tour is next
week and this job just got thrown at me, I have a lot
to do.” I said, not really wanting to go.
“Come on Rebecca, it’ll be fun, besides, we’ll make TJ
do all the paper work and bull shit for you.” Chris
said.
“I don’t know you guys, I mean I really don’t want to
go.” I wanted to be honest with them. I didn’t want
to go. I wanted to sit at home and cry in my
self-pity.
“Rebecca, please go.” Justin’s big blue eyes begged.
I hated when he did that with his eyes. He used to do
that when we were younger. I wanted to play tag and
he wanted to play hide-and-go-seek and he always got
his way because his big blue eyes grew larger, and I
always gave in. I wanted to scream, ‘WHY SHOULD I GO?
SO I CANT WATCH YOU SHMOOZE WITH THE BEST OF THE BEST
WITH YOUR GIRLFRIEND ON YOUR ARM?’
“Alright.” I gave in, I shouldn’t have, but I did.
“It starts at 6:00 and it’s at Level.” Justin said.
“Alright, I’ll be there.” I hesitated. I was really
dreading the fact that I would have to go and be with
Justin. I mean I should be thrilled that I am
re-united with my best friend but I’m not. I’m hurt
and upset.
“Thanks Bee.” Justin smiled.
**
Why am I sitting here just wanting to cry? I’m staring
the image in the mirror. Sometimes I wonder if that’s
even me. The long goldish brown hair, the make-up,
and the short red dress that exposed every curve on my
body. Of course it wasn’t. I wanted to get Justin’s
attention, and I knew I would. I smiled at myself.
I’m a conniving little bitch, but I’m good at it so
cares. My eyes were still puffy from earlier. I
really wanted to try not to let him effect the way I
feel but all of the built up emotion just came pouring
out.
I gave myself one last look in the mirror. I wanted
to look head turning amazing. I knew Justin’s
girlfriend, Tiffany, was going to be there. I’ve seen
her in a magazine before and she’s beautiful but she’s
not Justin’s best friend. She doesn’t know about the
things he’s felt growing up. Although she did get
those 6 years I didn’t but I’ll make up for it.
**
“So what time is she coming?” Ally asked.
“She’ll be here soon.” Justin said, “God you guys, I
can’t believe she’s apart of my life again.”
“She’s hot too.” Joey added.
“Yeah. She’s looking pretty good.” Justin smiled. She
did look good; he’d never seen her look like an actual
girl. He had never seen her look so amazing.
“Hey guys.” Tiffany said wrapping her arm around
Justin. Her curly blond locks framed her big green
eyes that were detailed in earth tone eye shadow and
long eye lashes. A smiled invaded her lips and she
caught her boyfriend’s eyes.
“Hey babe.” Justin said turning to give Tiffany a
kiss.
“When is your friend coming?” Tiffany asked brushing
her hair out of her face.
“I don’t know, I told her it started at 6 so hopefully
she’ll come.” Justin said. His voice slowly faded at
the sight of Rebecca. Her body was covered with a red
dress and a black see through cover up, “Bee.”
**
He looks so hot. All leather. Why am I shaking?
He’s looking right at me. As if he was dumbfounded.
As if the whole world had disappeared and it was just
he and I. I loved when he looked at me like that. I
decided I’d walk over towards him.
“Hey.” I yelled over the bumping music.
“Hey you look great.” Justin said.
“Thanks.” I said looking past him to see Tiffany, “Is
that your girlfriend?”
“Yah,” He said tearing his eyes away from me and
placing them on her, “Tiff, this is Bee.”
“Hi Rebecca, I’ve heard a lot about you.” Tiffany said
placing her hand out to shake mine.
“Hi, I’d love to say the same, but well I can’t.” I
just said that to piss Justin off. I’m pretty sure it
did. The look on his face explained it.
“Well hun, I have to go talk to ally about the
clothing line. Nice to meet you, I hope to see you
more.” She seemed nice. I’ve heard stories about what
a huge bitch she was how she was extremely jealous and
stubborn but, I never saw anything that would make me
feel like that, but I just met her.
“Wanna talk Becca?” Justin placed his hand out.
“Um, sure.” I said.
He walked outside where it was quiet and we could be
alone. I saw down at the little table that was setup,
as did he. It was a little weird at first. We kind
of watched each other. For some reason the moment
felt right and I wanted to kiss him. So I did. He
didn’t stop for a while, I felt his tongue, I felt his
body tense up when my lips touched his and his body
melts after a while. Finally he pulled himself away.
“Bee,” Justin’s voice was soft but commanding, “We
can’t.”
“I’m sorry.” I looked away from him. I knew from his
voice and his kiss he didn’t want to stop, but he had
to.
“No, I just want us to be friends, I want the past
back. Can we at least try that?” He asked.
My big brown eyes wondered from the floor to his
remarkable baby blues, “Of course Justin.”
“Thank you.” With that his lips that seemed painted
red rested on my cheek and he climbed up from his
spot.
