Justin closed the cover to his daughter’s brand new
published book. He couldn’t believe how amazing she
wrote. He knew she had talent but not like this. He
brushed the tears that invaded his eyes and looked up
at the eyes that were focused on him. Anjel stood in
disbelief, as did Amber.
Amber is Justin’s wife and Anjel is Justin’s
ex-girlfriend, and the mother of their beautiful girl.
Abby laughed aloud and stood up from her seat. Abby
was Amber’s best friend. Lance and Nina exchanged
glances then worked their eyes back up to Justin.
Joey was sitting with JC and Jazelle, and Chris and
Cordelia were sitting on Justin’s piano.
Celeste smiled proudly, “What do y’all think?” Her big
blue eyes shinned with pride.
“It was interesting.” Joey answered after a long
silence that consumed the room.
“You guys don’t like it?” Celeste sounded
disappointed.
“No baby girl, we love it, it was awesome.” Anjel said
wrapping her arms around her daughter.
“Yeah, it was a little odd hearing all of us as
characters but it means a lot that you’d think of us
like that Celeste.” Amber said quietly.
“Thanks Amber.” Celeste smiled then turned to Justin,
“What about you daddy?”
“Celeste,” Justin said slowly, “It was breath taking.”
“Thank you daddykins. I love writing this book.”
Celeste said.
“I know you did so will you please sign my book baby
girl?” Justin asked handing Celeste his book.
