She harvested her buck at The West Shore Resort in the U.P. of Michigan. Now she has the six point rule to contend with so good luck Jessica on all your future hunts!! |

Above right is Doug who in 2002 took his annual trip to Iowa after getting drawn for the lottery deer hunt. His hunting party was very successful and they returned with several deer. Doug harvested this very nice 12 point non-typical that green scored around 140.

Pictured above are two nice bucks taken at The West Shore Resort by Paul, a renter during the 2003 Michigan rifle season.
Above is an 8-point buck taken by Kevin Graham of Bliss, MI during the 2003 rifle season. Kevin has been hunting the same patch of woods for years and seams to harvest nice bucks regularly. Good job Kevin.
Pictured left is a large 15 point non-typical buck harvested by Robert (Bob) Tripp in Emmett County, MI. The buck was officially scored in 2003 and measured 171-3/8 inches. If that isn't impressive enough, this buck is the third largest buck ever taken from Emmett County in the history of records. Taxidermy was done by Ron Searles of The West Shore Resort.
Pictured right is Krystal Searles with her first ever whitetail buck. This is also her first ever buck taken with her bow and arrow. She harvested the buck at The West Shore Resort during the 2003 fall season. This buck was about 2 1/2 yrs old and is sporting six scoreable points. She shot this buck while hunting over her..."compost" pile at 15 yards. She had a little assistance from her dad getting sighted in on the buck, but she delivered the arrow true to her mark. Best straight on shot I've ever seen...we won't be trying that shot again. Her Uncle Ron found the buck the next day during his recovery attempt. Nice buck Krystal.

Pictured left is Ron's 340 pound black bear that he harvested in 2005. This is Ron's first black bear after trying for nearly 6 years. With the help of a local guide, he was able to change his strategies and capitalize on filling his tag. In 2006, Ron and dad will be hunting together and trying to fill two tags. To date, they have already had hits on three bait piles so their hopes are high.
Another 2005 1st. Dad finally connected with his Cross-Bow at Lake Gogebic. Fine-tuning and practice finally paid off. A perfect shot had steaks on the table that evening.
