Tuesday, June 19th was the tenth official week of the DUFFERS 2007
season. Once again, the Duffer weather
luck was in effect with perfect playing conditions after torrential
thunderstorms drenched surrounding areas at 2:30. Yesterday’s attendance was disappointing with only 42 (1
pre-play) of 57 members
(74%) and 5 guests teeing it up.
Member attendance for the year has dropped to 88%, while total
attendance, including guests and make-up rounds is down to 96%.
FYI…
Pre-Play has been defined as “Any round started before 4:00 Tuesday.

FunNite #2: is being held next Tuesday,
June 26th.
The event (Fun), as I understand it is:
A 4-man scramble, to be played from the back of all tee boxes (tips). The teams are “you pick-em” and will
be partially handicapped via the following formula.

Every team MUST use TWO tee shots from each member and to insure fair
play, 8-sums (2 teams) will be teeing and playing together.

’07 Scheduled Events…
Here are the tentative dates (weather permitting) for this year’s
remaining Duffer Events.
Fun Nites…
#3 is August 14th.
KnockDowns…
Are scheduled for:
July 3rd (back 9), August 7th (front 9),
and Sept. 11th (back 9).
Final Outing…
The Final Outing is being held Saturday, Sept. 15th,
9:00, at Creekwood Golf Course. Mark
your calendars now!
FYI, we
will be enjoying a steak roast with all the trimmings, catered by Alexander’s.
Skin News…
Our Skin Committee members are: Frank Bago, Patrick Keaton, Todd Cramer, Mickey Lima,
and Gerry Rapp.
Their duties are to: ENCOURAGE participation from both
members and guests, ensure correct sign-in and tabulation, watch and
sort the money, ensure there is no ‘after posting’, assist in score
keeping, and help with prize money distribution. If you have any suggestions or ideas about how the Skin Game can
be run more efficiently please see one of them or Stanny.

It is each and every
member’s personal responsibility to insure that his own score is CORRECTLY
recorded (both gross and net) on the weekly skin / work
sheet. Even though
you may not have been the person keeping score for the foursome, it is your
duty to insure that it was done correctly! Do it right and
you won’t end up listed in the “Moron’s Corner”!
NOTE: If you wish to be considered for the ‘net’ portion of the ‘Skin
Game’, the ‘net score box’ must be properly filled in.

SKIN GAMES…
are a great way to s t r e t c
h the summer holiday weekends and
play a round of golf with friends at one of the areas FINEST golf courses.
This years remaining dates are; Friday July 6th, and
Friday August 31st.
Again this year, the event will be held at Eagle Creek GC in Norwalk. The first
tee time is ~9:30 and everyone is welcome to attend.
