Recap…
Tuesday, August 29th was the eighteenth official week of the DUFFERS
2006 season. The weather was cool,
dank, and soggy. After much discussion
and un-happiness among the Duffers, Dale and his staff have managed to
re-arrange the league schedules so that we no longer have the Gas League ahead
of us. Once again allowing us access to
the tee box earlier than our scheduled 4:41 tee time. This change will allow us to finish before dark these last few
weeks of the season. Hopefully next
season we will either have fewer members or an earlier tee time.
Attendance again was about as expected (poor) with only 38 of 54 members (70%) and 3 guests
(76%) making their way to the tee box. Member
attendance for the year remains a disappointing 84%, while total
attendance, including guests and make-up rounds is a commendable 91%.

REMEMBER, you have one week to play your make-up rounds. You must play the same side
that the league was originally scheduled to play. Turn your scorecards in to a Creekwood Clubhouse Counter Staff
Member, asking them to place it in the Duffer File, or give it to Stanny on
Tuesday.

’06 Season Final
Tournament & Outing…
The ‘06 Final Outing is being
held at Creekwood Country Club, Saturday, September 9th at
9:00. Most foursomes and tee times have already been set-up. You can check them out from the home
page. All members and guests will
receive 18-holes (carts included), lunch at the turn, and dinner (BBQ
ribs and chicken with all the trimmings) catered by Alexander’s
Restaurant. A prize ceremony will
follow dinner, which will hopefully be served at 4:00.
As in any Duffer event, GUESTS are welcomed and encouraged to attend. If
you wish to bring a guest to play in your foursome, the cost will be $75 (Skins
/ Blind Bogey included). Extra meals
for wives, girl friends, or significant others are available for $20
each. As a reminder, guests are only
allowed to participate in the Skins and Blind Bogey games and will not be
included in the skill / luck events such as proximity shots and long drives
where Duffer League money is awarded.
All guest and extra
dinner fees must be PAID IN FULL by Tuesday Sept. 5th.
Contact Stanny
if you have any questions or need to make any last minute changes in guests,

Two guests.
Hey guys… it’s just like the lotto, ‘you can’t win if you don’t PLAY’!
Low Net (31) – Mike Bobincheck – $18
Low Net (31) – Dave Murray – $18
Pin #12 – Rick Kayfes – $37
Pin #17
– Tom Dickson – $37
Two Skins was out at $37 each…
#10 – birdie – Mike Milam
#12 – birdie – Mike Kennedy
Tradition
dictates that the winners buy you a drink, or be heckled miserably!
PLEASE DON’T PREMATURELY CIRCLE YOUR BIRDIES ON THE SKIN SHEET! It’s a pretty television graphic
presentation BUT it makes it VERY DIFFICULT to see the TRUE SKINS!
MORON’S
CORNER… (Formerly JETHRO CIPHERS)
This is the spot where I will highlight (low light) the SPECIAL
skills of Duffers and their simplistic mathematic disabilities.

REMINDER…
Stay out of this column by taking a minute or two and check that the
scorer in your foursome wasn’t a MORON too!
