Tuesday, August 22nd was the seventeenth official week of the
DUFFERS 2006 season. The weather was
again PERFECT, 80 and sunny. The league
teed off at about 4:35) and our last group finished just before dusk at 8:30.
Attendance again was about as expected only 40 of 54 members (74%) and 7 guests
(87%) making their way to the tee box. Member
attendance for the year has dropped to 84%, while total attendance,
including guests and make-up rounds is 91%.

Tuesday.
’06 Scheduled Events…
As a result of discussions held during the Spring Kick-off meeting, here is a
list of tentative dates (weather permitting) for this year’s Duffer
Events.
FunNites…
May 30th, June 27th, and August 8th
KnockDowns…
May 30th (front 9), July 11th (front 9),
August 15th (back 9), and Sept. 5th (front
9).
’06 Season Final
Tournament & Outing…
Next week I will start preparing for The Duffer Outing. It’s time to start thinking about whom you
want to play with and when you wish to tee off. The ‘06 Final Outing is
being held at Creekwood Country Club, Saturday, September 9th
at 9:00. Mark that date on your calendars!
As a reminder, it’s usually an all day affair. Your dues are finally coming back to you in the form of an 18-hole
net tournament. All league members and
guests will receive 18-holes (carts included), lunch at the turn,
and dinner (BBQ ribs and chicken with all the trimmings) catered by Alexander’s
Restaurant. A prize ceremony will
follow dinner.
As in any Duffer event, GUESTS are welcomed and encouraged to attend. If
you wish to bring a guest to play in your foursome, the cost will be $75 (Skins
/ Blind Bogey included). Extra meals
for wives, girl friends, or significant others are available for $20
each. As a reminder, guests are only
allowed to participate in the Skins and Blind Bogey games and will not be
included in the skill / luck events such as proximity shots and long drives
where Duffer League money is awarded.
All guest and extra
dinner fees must be PAID IN FULL by Tuesday Sept. 5th. See Stanny if you have any Questions

weekends and play a round of golf with friends at one of the areas FINEST golf
courses.
This years remaining date is Friday September 1st.
Again this year, all three events will be held at Eagle Creek GC in Norwalk.
The first tee time is ~9:30 and everyone is welcome to attend.
