LEAGUE INFO…
Recap…
Tuesday, May 24th was the forth-official week of the DUFFERS 2005
season. I can’t report on the
conditions because I was in Orlando.
Attendance was very good with 38 of 48 members (79%) and ? guests making their way
to the tee box. Member attendance
for the year is 90%, while total attendance, including guests and make-up
rounds has dropped to 93%.
To those of you who have been making it a habit of teeing off early,
I would like to remind you the official league tee time is 4:41! Please understand that Creekwood GC and
its employees are extending you the courtesy of teeing off early. In the event that another league starts
before us or the golf course is busy with open play, you, as a league member,
contracted to tee off beginning at 4:41, will be required to wait and play at
our regularly scheduled time. Please remember that it’s a privilege for
you to be teeing off early and treat the counter staff and starters with
respect!
Fun Nite #1…
is scheduled (weather permitting) for the Tuesday following Labor Day, May 31st. At this time, I believe that Pat is leaning
towards having SUBWAY subs to eat, pop and beer to drink, while the FUN
portion is ‘still up for grabs’. If you
have any ideas or thoughts about the menu or games see your Fun Nite Committee
Members, Pat Anderson II (chairman), Bill Pfeil Jr., Brian Pfeil,
Dale Sandvick, or Stanny.
HANDICAPS…
will continue to be adjusted weekly! Check out how yours has changed
by going to the ’05
REPORT section of the Duffer
web page.

REMEMBER, you have one week to play make-up rounds. You must play the same side
that the league was originally scheduled to play. Turn your scorecards into a Creekwood Clubhouse Counter Staff
Member, asking them to place it in the Duffer File, or give it to me on Tuesday.
Skin News…
Our Skin Committee members are: Wayne Reisinger, Bob Kohtz, Pete White, Dave Gedeon, and
Mike Milam. If you have any suggestions or ideas about
how the Skin Game can be run more efficiently please see one of them or myself.
SKIN
RESULTS for Wk #4…
we had 32 out of the 38 players (84%) in the game
for a pot of $160…
Those wimps not playing were…
Mark Clark
Todd Cramer
Randy Dudinsky
Bill Hathaway
Joe Kayfes
Bob Kosky
Come on fellows, join in the fun, it’s just like the lottery, ‘you can’t win
if you don’t play’!
Low Net (30) – Mark Hodgson - $32
Pin #4 – Gregg Randolph – $32
Pin #7 – Bill Pfeil Jr. - $32 – Todd Cramer’s name was on the pin but he wasn’t
in the game?
NO Skins were out – CARRY OVER to WK#6
Tradition
dictates that the winners buy you a drink, or be heckled miserably!
NOTE… PLEASE DON’T PREMATURELY CIRCLE YOUR BIRDIES ON THE SKIN SHEET! It’s a pretty television graphic
presentation BUT it makes it VERY DIFFICULT to see the TRUE SKINS!
MORON’S
CORNER… (Formerly JETHRO CIPHERS)
This is the spot where I will highlight (low light) the SPECIAL skills
of Duffers and their simplistic mathematic disabilities.
6+5+5+3+7+5+4+5+6 = 46 not 45 – Rob Sibley
57-18 = 39 not 41 – Mark Clark
44- 8 = 36 not 38 – Joe Kayfes
a friendly REMINDER…
Stay out of this column by taking a minute or two and check that the
scorer in your foursome wasn’t a MORON too!
CREEKWOOD DAY…
Our friends at Creekwood G.C. are celebrating their 45th
anniversary, Saturday June 25th.
It’s a great way to celebrate summers arrival and party with your
friends. For only $70 (cash or check) you get golf (18 holes,
individual stroke play), ½ cart, lunch, dinner, beer, and PRIZES! The menu, which is catered by Alexander’s,
consists of a PIG ROAST, Bar-B-Q Chicken, sausage & kraut,
rigatoni, salad, and all the trimmings.
Deadline for payment is Tuesday June 14th. See Amy, in
the clubhouse, for details.
LARRY LAHIFF'S SKIN GAMES…
are a great way to s t r e t c
h the summer holiday weekends and
play a round of golf with friends at one of the areas FINEST golf courses.
Friday July 1, Eagle Creek Golf Course, Norwalk.
Everyone is welcome to attend. The first tee time is 9:30.
See Larry for further details or if you have any questions.
