LEAGUE INFO…
Death in the family…
It is with deep sympathy that I report the death of Dale Sandvick’s mother
June. June died yesterday after
fighting cancer for the last few months.
The Sandvicks have been great supporters of the Duffers. Dale is not only the owner of Creekwood but
has been a loyal Duffer all these 20 plus years. At this writing I am not aware of any funeral plans.
Recap…
Tuesday, July 6th was the ninth play date of the DUFFERS 2004
season. The weather again was perfect! It was hot and sunny about 88
degrees with a pleasant breeze blowing from the southwest. ATTENDANCE CONTINUES TO BE DISAPPOINTING! We had a very poor showing with only 32 of 44 members (73%) and 6 guests
make their way to the tee box. Member
attendance for the year is an inadequate 85%, while total attendance,
including guests and make-up rounds, continues dropping to a barley tolerable
total of 94%.
Handicaps…
are now being adjusted weekly.
Check out your latest revised handicap on the weekly Skin Sheet or by
clicking the REPORT link on the website.
Fun Night #2
is scheduled for
next Tuesday, July 13th (weather permitting). As I understand it, we will be enjoying
bratwurst and beer with all the trimmings.
The FUN portion will be another scramble.
All prizes will be cash and cost of the games
will be $10.

was originally scheduled to play. Turn

place it in the Duffer File, or give it to me on Tuesday.

heckled miserably!
NOTE… PLEASE DON’T PREMATURELY CIRCLE YOUR BIRDIES ON THE SKIN SHEET! It makes it VERY DIFFICULT to see
the TRUE SKINS!
MORON’S
CORNER… (Formerly JETHRO CIPHERS)
This is the spot where I will highlight (low light) the SPECIAL skills
of Duffers and their simplistic mathematic disabilities.
6+7+5+4+6+7+5+5+7 = 52 not 51 – Art (the banker) Deiderich - again
a friendly REMINDER…
Stay out of this column by taking a minute or two and check that the
scorer in your foursome wasn’t a MORON too!
