LEAGUE INFO…
Recap…
Tuesday, May 11th was the second play date of the DUFFERS 2004
season. Again, we had a beautiful
sunny, warm evening, until I got to the seventeenth hole and a typical
Cleveland afternoon THUNDERSTORM opened up on us! Luckily, all but 1-½ groups were able to finish their rounds. Those who weren’t able to finish took bogies
on the last hole. FYI… if you were
rained out, you are entitled to RAIN CHECKS.
See Amy (in the clubhouse) for details. This week, we had 40 of 46
members (87%) and 6 guests make it to the tee box. It was nice to see Mike Nagle, Bob King,
Patrick Keaton, and Dave Harley, all former Duffers, get out and play as
visitors. I hope everyone enjoyed
himself and had at least a few good shots.
Member attendance for the year is 91%, while total
attendance, including guests and make-up rounds, is an EXCELLENT 100%.

We again had 38 players for a pot of
$190
Low Net (28) – Glenn McLaughlin - $38
Pin #12 – Tom Dickson - $38 – what was it, like fourteen inches away?!
Pin #17 – Jack Tabor - $38 – took Mickey’s away and then SMASHED his skin too!
Two Skins were out @ $38 each…
#12 – birdie – Tom Dickson – thanks to Ken White not getting into
SKINS… hhmmmmm
#16– Wayne Reisinger
Congratulate the winners next time you see them.
Tradition
dictates that they buy you a drink, or be heckled miserably!
NOTE… PLEASE DON’T PREMATURELY CIRCLE YOUR BIRDIES ON THE SKIN
SHEET! It makes it VERY DIFFICULT
to see the TRUE SKINS!
MORON’S CORNER… (Formerly JETHRO CIPHERS)
This is the spot where I will highlight (low light) the SPECIAL skills
of Duffers and their simplistic mathematic disabilities.
6+6+4+5+5+6+5+4+5 = 46 not 48… Denny
Scheelk
48-9 = 39 not 37… Bill Bunevich
Stay out of this column by taking a minute or two and check that the scorer
in your foursome wasn’t a MORON too!
LARRY LAHIFF'S SKIN GAMES…
are a great way to s t r e t c
h the summer holiday weekends and
play a round of golf with friends at some of the areas FINEST golf courses.
Friday May 28, @ HawksNest
Friday July 2, @ Eagle Creek Golf Course, Norwalk.
Friday September 3, @ Roses Run
Everyone is welcome to attend. The first tee time is 9:30.
See Larry for further details or if you have any questions.
Creekwood Day…
Is scheduled for Saturday June 19th. It’s a great way to celebrate summers
arrival and party with your friends at Creekwood. I believe a PIG ROAST is on the menu once again. See Amy, in the clubhouse, for details.
'Till Tuesday,
