Recap…
Tuesday, May 4th was the official, albeit delayed, start of the
DUFFERS 2004 season. Finally the
weather was nice enough to get a decent turnout! At only 58 degrees, it felt rather cool, bet the sun was shining,
the fairways were thick and healthy, and the greens were rolling FAST and
TRUE. It was good to see our
established Duffers, mingling with, and getting to know the many new members
who have joined us this year. This
week, we had 41 of 47 members (87%)
and 2 guests make it to the tee box.
I hope everyone enjoyed himself and had at least a few good shots. Member attendance for the year is 87%,
while total attendance, including guests and make-up rounds, is 91%.

Tradition
dictates that they buy you a drink, or be heckled miserably!
MORON’S CORNER… (Formerly JETHRO CIPHERS)
This is the spot where I will highlight (low light) the SPECIAL skills
of Duffers and their simplistic mathematic disabilities.

Hodgson

Haeberlie

Stay out of this column by taking a minute or two and check that the scorer
in your foursome wasn’t a MORON too!
LARRY LAHIFF'S SKIN GAMES…
are a great way to s t r e t c
h the summer holiday weekends and
play a round of golf with friends at some of the areas FINEST golf courses.
Friday May 28, @ HawksNest
Friday July 2 @ Eagle Creek Golf Course, Norwalk.
Friday September 3 @ Roses Run
Everyone is welcome to attend. The first tee time is 9:30.
See Larry for further details or if you have any questions.
Creekwood Day…
Is scheduled for Saturday June 19th. It’s a great way to celebrate summers
arrival and party with your friends at Creekwood. I believe a PIG ROAST is on the menu once again. See Amy, in the clubhouse, for details.
