FUN NIGHT…
Our final ’Fun Night’ of the 2003 season is scheduled; weather
permitting, for next week, August 12th. The outing committee has decided that the ‘FUN’ portion of
the evening will be a “TWO CLUB event”. That’s right, you will only be permitted to
carry 2 golf clubs! Start thinking
about which clubs you will be using that evening! After cooking burgers, hot dogs, and sausages for the assembled
masses, the Outing Committee has decided to reduce the ‘prep time’ required to
put on this affair. An ample
amount of pizza will be served.
SEASON
EXTENSION…
Dale Sandvick
and his Creekwood staff have offered all the leagues a free keg party if they
decide to extent their season through the month of September. Creekwood is making this offer because of
the many rainy days we have endured this year.
Our After Skins Season fits well into this offer. I hope many of us will be able to continue
to play on Tuesday evenings after our Final Outing.
Recap…
Tuesday, July 29th was the fourteenth play date of the DUFFERS 2003
season. The weather looked treating as I
was driving westbound on the Ohio turnpike, but not surprisingly, when I
arrived at Creekwood, “The Duffers were playing!” This week, we had
30 of 39 members (77%) and 3 guests make it to the tee box. Member attendance for the year is 93%,
while total attendance, including guests and make-up rounds, is an OUTSTANDING 99%.
New Member…
Even at this late date ‘The Duffers’ have attracted yet another new
member. Please take a moment to
introduce yourself, and try to make Bob Kosky feel welcome. Bob comes to us through his friendship with
Rob Sibley and Paul Ebright.
