Tuesday, July 29th was the thirteenth play date of the DUFFERS 2003
season. The weather again was perfect,
with blue skies, puffy white clouds,
80 degrees and a slight breeze.
In over twenty years of Duffing at Creekwood, I have never seen so much plush green grass at this time of year! This
week, we had 38 of 39 members (97%)
and 5 guests make it to the tee box.
Member attendance for the year is 94%, while total
attendance, including guests and make-up rounds, is an OUTSTANDING 100%.

guys I was playing with had been drinking since noon, and I wished I had

FUN NIGHTS / OUTING…
Our final ’Fun Night’ of the 2003 season is scheduled; weather
permitting, for August 12th. The
outing committee has decided that the ‘FUN’ portion of the evening will be a “TWO CLUB event”. That’s right, you will only be permitted to carry 2 golf
clubs! Start thinking about which clubs
you will be using that evening! After
cooking burgers, hot dogs, and sausages for the assembled masses, the Outing
Committee is considering reducing the ‘prep time’ required to put on these
affaires. Some of their thoughts
include chicken wings, pizza, deli tray, or some other type of prepared /
delivered foods. If you have any
thoughts or ideas see Pat Anderson or Bill Pfeil Jr.
The Final Outing is being held at Creekwood Country Club, Saturday,
September 13th at 9:00. Mark that date on your calendars now!
SEASON
EXTENSION…
Dale Sandvick and his Creekwood staff have offered all the
leagues a free keg party if they decide to extent their season through
the month of September. Creekwood is
making this offer because of the many rainy days we have endured this
year. Our After Skins Season
fits well into this offer. I hope many
of us will be able to continue to play on Tuesday evenings after our Final
Outing.
LARRY LAHIFF'S SKIN GAME…
Is a great way to s t r e t c h the summer holiday weekend and play a round
of golf with friends at one of the areas PREMIUM golf courses.
Friday, August 29th @ Eagle Creek Golf Course,
Norwalk.
Everyone is welcome to attend. The first tee time is 9:30.
