Welcome to Sam West's home page. This page was created for all the loving friends and family of Samuel James West who want to see the latest in his condition. As you may, or may not have learned, Sam was diagnosed with a blood disease called leukemia. This is a non-infectious disease that affects the bone marrow and leukocytes (white blood cells).

Sam's mom, Michelle, was told by the doctors at Cook Children's Hospital that Sam had an accelerated level of leukemia. The exact diagnosis, confirmed by Michelle, is called Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (" T-cell A-L-L" for short). For more details on leukemia, please see the link above.

His courage is a testament and an example to us all. For his age, he's got the most mature and uplifting outlook on all of this. Continue praying, it has been working so far.

One thing more: Sam wishes to thank everybody who has shown their support for him and his family since early May. He loves you all and wishes you to know his gratitude and greatest appreciation for all of you. You are all a blessing in his life and he knows it. God bless you all, family and friends.
