The Phoenix, part 1
By: John Spigner
"The phoenix is a legendary Egyptian bird. It’s said to heal any cut or wound with it’s tears. There lives one every 500 years, and is said to live only in Egypt. I don’t know about you, but I don’t believe in them. Well, at least I didn’t until last weekend." -Annie

Hey my name is Annie. I’m your average 15 year old. Except for the fact that
weird stuff happens to me. Like last week-end, for example.
"Annie, while Jack is at college, you have to help Clu with Jack’s chores," said Mollie Phillips.
"All right" I answered. "What about Fi?"
"Annie!"said Fi. Fi is Mollie’s daughter. Actually the weird stuff started when I met her. Everyone turned into animals and plants, and I helped Fi put a book back together with leaves.
"Fi you could help them too," said Mollie.
"Thanks Annie!" Fi complained.
"Your welcome!"said Annie back.
"So Annie any weird stuff happen lately?" asked Fi.
"Well, your mom, Jack, Clu, and Cary all forgot about me a couple weeks ago, but other than that no," I answered.
"Weird," Fi said.
"Tell me about it," I told her. "Hey, what’s that?" I pointed to a bird in the sky. There was only one weird thing about it: it was big and red.
"Maybe a falcon?" Fi suggested.
"Yeah, you’re probably right," I said.

Later that night, Fi, Clu, and I decided to go camping.
"...So the girl and the guy heard on the radio that a lunatic with a hook for a hand was out. Then, they heard a loud thump. The guy went out to check what it was. About ten minutes later, the girl heard drip, drip, drip. She too went out to investigate, and out of nowhere came the lunatic, and gutted her with a hook," Clu concluded his story.
"What was dripping?" Fi asked.
"The boy’s blood, from his decapitated neck," Clu explained.
I heard a noise.
"What was that?" I asked.
"What was what?" Fi asked.
"That!" I answered, once I heard it again.
Clu seemed to have heard it too, because he asked the same question.
All of a sudden, the flame from the fire grew bigger. We got sucked into it by something.
"My laptop!" Fi shouted.
"What about it?" I asked.
"I dropped it,"she answered.
"Don’t worry," Clu said, "I got it." He held it up.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"Some sort of cave," Clu answered.
"No," Fi corrected. "We’re in a pyramid."
"How?" I asked. "Wait a minute. Look at your clothes!" We weren’t wearing modern-day clothes, we were wearing white dresses with a gold band around our waist. "Are we in-"
"Ancient Egypt," Fi interupted. "Yeah, but why’s my laptop here?"
"Who cares! See if we still have the internet!"
Fi started typing. "Yeah! I’m searching Ancient Egypt right now.-"The laptop made a loud BEEP! in the pyramid. All of a sudden two guards came running to investigate.
"hoskr der oks (Who are you)?," one of them asked.
"Fi-"I started.
"I know," she said.
"What are we going to do?" Clu asked.
"Well, when all else fails, RUN!!" Fi answered. We dashed doen the hall.
We came to a wall, and Clu pushed on a brick on accident. All of a sudden, another wall came down behind us.
